Bridge Street Market

Bridge Street Market is a famous farmer’s market on Anna Maris Island. It starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m., so you will have time to shop. The Bridge Street Market in Bradenton Beach is a local tradition and is one of the top places to find fresh produce and locally crafted jewelry and art.

Coquina Beach Market

Another market you might want to check out is the Coquina Beach Market, situated along Gulf Drive in Bradenton Beach. It takes place on both Sundays and Wednesdays, and it runs from November through either April or May. The hours on both days are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Take note: This is the only beach-centered farmer’s market on Anna Maria Island, so you won’t want to miss out on it! While no dogs are allowed on the beach, this area is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. Here, you will find some delicious, ready-to-eat treats, fresh seafood and produce, pottery, clothing, beach items, etc.

Bradenton Farmers’ Market

If you go into downtown Bradenton on a Saturday from October to May, you will be immersed in the Bradenton Farmer’s Market. It runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is a prevalent one. There, you will find a vast array of fresh, local produce, free activities to do with the kiddos, and musicians playing some upbeat jams.

The third Saturday of each month is dedicated to “Mainly Art.” This is when local crafters and artists get to show and sell their unique and beautiful works. So, if you are into collecting one-of-a-kind pieces of art or crafts, that Saturday will be the best time to go.

Sarasota Farmers’ Market

If you feel like venturing off Anna Maria Island for a little while, the Sarasota Farmer’s Market on Main Street and Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota is worth visiting. Since it began in 1979, this farmer’s market has become famous for its tradition of supplying the local community with an abundance of prepared food and drink items, works from local artists and crafters, and – of course – fresh produce.

On a typical market day, there are somewhere around 80 vendors at the Sarasota Farmer’s Market. Come rain or shine. This market is open all year long, with hours running from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. While this is about a 40- to 45-minute drive from Anna Maria Island, with the hours being as early as they are, the morning commute shouldn’t be too much of a hassle, even if you take an Uber there and back to our Anna Maria Island resort.
