From locally sourced ingredients to unique dishes, AMI is the perfect breakfast for you during your next vacation!

Ginny and Jane E’s Cafe and Gift Store

Ginny and Jane E’s cafe offers fresh baked goods, espresso-based drinks, and all-fruit smoothies, as well as soups and sandwiches for lunch. Grab a coffee and a “famous” Morning Glory muffin top, and find a table outside on the sidewalk patio. Watch the historic city come alive, preparing for another day in paradise.

On your way out, stop at the in-house bakery for a box of cinnamon rolls to bring back to your room or pick up a fresh strawberry pie for an after-dinner treat. The cafe also offers vegan and gluten- and dairy-free baked goods.

Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe

Oceanside breakfast? Check. Beach volleyball? Check. Tiki bar? Check. This Anna Maria Island cafe has it all.

Start your day with all-you-can-eat pancakes, a breakfast sandwich, or a meat lovers’ omelet with your toes in the sand. Stick around after breakfast to rent beach chairs and umbrellas or browse the cafe gift shop.

In the afternoon, enjoy a cocktail, like their pina colada in a pineapple or a freshly scooped ice cream cone.

The large patio allows you to dine right on the beach with your toes in the sand. Follow the cafe on social media for information about upcoming events, such as weekly live music performances.

The Waffle Press

If a sweet treat in the morning is your thing, this Anna Maria Island breakfast won’t disappoint.

The waffles are made from scratch and topped with just about anything! “The Hemingway” boasts Key lime curd, a favorite local flavor, sweet cream icing, and a graham cracker topping, just like the pie. If you’re feeling adventurous, try “The Camper,” a waffle topped with a s’more. Or, keep it classic with a powdered sugar or cinnamon waffle called “The Purist.”

You’ll also find sandwich-style waffles on their menu, either sweet with ice cream or savory with breakfast staples like egg, cheese, bacon, and avocado.

Not feeling a sit-down breakfast? Pick up an iced coffee and walk to the pier at the end of Pine Avenue or nearby Bayfront Park.

Try the sugary crepes or the decadent French toast, made with buttery croissants and served with sugary dulce de leche and fresh fruit. Try the “Tartine Gourmande,” an open-faced sandwich featuring smoked salmon, avocado, and scrambled eggs, if you’re looking for a savory option.

Create your own omelet from a list of dozens of ingredients, including blue cheese, prosciutto, and brie. All breakfasts are made with local, free-range eggs.

Enjoy breakfast on the quaint and casual patio shaded by leafy palms, a perfect place to sit back and relax before a day of fun in the sun.

Minnie’s Beach Cafe

About a half-mile walk from our Anna Maria Island resort, Minnie’s Beach Cafe will make you feel like you’re in your parent’s kitchen. Its tasty, diner-style food and friendly service make it another incredible breakfast Anna Maria Island option.

You can have eggs anyway at Minnie’s. Choose from a long list of eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast combos. If you prefer your breakfast handheld, order the “Sand Dollar,” an egg-and-cheese sandwich on an English muffin. Or, look for the daily specials on the whiteboard by the kitchen.

Breakfast is served on weekdays until noon and all day on weekends. Minnie’s accepts cash only, so be sure to stop at an ATM on the way.

Peach’s Restaurant

The menu at Peach’s is true to its “hello, fresh” tagline. Since opening in 1985, the Holmes Beach restaurant has prided itself on serving “fresh, fast, and friendly” breakfasts to islanders and visitors alike.

The family-style restaurant chain, which has 10 locations in the area, offers all the classics: eggs and toast, omelets, and sweet choices, like pancakes and French toast. But it also has a menu section dedicated to healthy options, such as an egg-white omelet, protein wrap, and housemade granola.

Local favorites include the breakfast burrito, made with sausage, cheese, and veggies, or the delicious chicken-fried steak and eggs.

Grab the family, take a seat at one of the wooden booths, and enjoy a delicious house-style breakfast in Anna Maria Island.

Blueberries Cafe & Wine

Nutrition and well-being are at the heart of the Blueberries Cafe & Wine’s mission.

The Venezuelan owners have brought arepas, a round cornmeal cake eaten in northern South America for hundreds of years, to Anna Maria Island. At Blueberries, the arepas are stuffed or topped with ingredients like cheese and meat and other breakfast classics like avocado and organic eggs.

For something sweet and nutritious, try an acai bowl, a dish of fruity goodness with toppings like almond butter, Nutella, and honey. They also offer a list of delectable green juices, each with a different mix of fruits and veggies, perfect to energize you throughout your day!

Blueberries is about a 10-minute walk from our Anna Maria Island resort, a perfect destination for a morning stroll.

Island Creperie

If you’re planning a day trip to Sarasota, make a pit stop at this Bradenton Beach breakfast joint for an excellent meal before your adventure begins.

Enjoy French cuisine steps from the beach at Island Creperie. Choose from over a dozen types of buckwheat crepes, savory and sweet, including the “Sea Buck” filled with ratatouille and tuna and topped with a sunny-side-up egg.

The small creperie is purple inside and out, its interior brimming with eclectic decor. Island Creperie is located on historic Bridge Street, where Old Florida charm meets contemporary needs, with shops, restaurants, a small marina, and a pier.
